If your Doctor has identified nickel or cobalt as a possible cause of your contact dermatitis, it is important that you avoid contact with objects that may contain nickel or cobalt.

The CHEMO NICKEL TEST will help you identify metal objects that contain Nickel and the CHEMO COBALT TEST will help you identify metal objects that contain cobalt.

You can test any metal object in your home and work environment (e.g. press studs, keys, hooks, zips, earrings, bracelets, rings, coins, kitchen utensils, door and drawer handles, screws in glasses, paper clips, etc.) and this will help you identify which items to avoid, change or cover in some way.

Wood, plastic, gold and stainless steel are usually safe substitutes for items that don’t contain nickel or cobalt.
