Two former executives from Crawford Healthcare have established a new business aiming to provide dermatology products and tests to a wide range of customers.

Richard Anderson and Spencer Kerry have launched Canute Pharma Ltd based in Knutsford, Cheshire, acquired a portfolio of products and hired a team of industry professionals with many years’ experience in dermatology and skincare.”

Canute’s existing products cover a range of dermatological conditions such as acne, psoriasis along with allergy testing.

The Canute management team was the driving force behind another UK healthcare success story, Crawford Healthcare, which was sold to US giants Acelity in 2018. This is the second venture in recent months by the pair, having acquired a majority stake in ostomy business Trio Healthcare in October 2019.

Richard Anderson, Co-founder of Canute, said:

“We have a lot of experience in dermatology and a long history with the product range now offered by Canute. I’m delighted we have been able to hire a talented team to continue to service our customers’ needs and provide solutions for a broad range of skin conditions.”

Spencer Kerry, Co-founder of Canute, said:

“We are looking to invest in the Canute business over the coming months and years. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive range of dermatological products and the broader team we have built at Impel is well positioned to help us achieve our goals.”
